Teacher of English Language and Literature (Secondary)

Required from late August 2019

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and able graduate to teach English Language and Literature up to and including A Level standard in a pioneering multi-lingual school just west of Paris. The British Section is the largest of 14 International Sections forming the Lycée International, one of France’s most successful and respected international schools.

Experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply. Additional responsibilities may be available for suitably qualified candidates.

Closing date: Monday 4th February (9.00am)

Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and the British Section reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.

Temporary full-time or part-time Primary English teacher(s)

Required from May to July to cover maternity leave during the Summer Term 2019

The Lycée International operates a bilingual curriculum which has made it one of France’s top schools. The British Section (820 pupils, aged 3-18) aims to offer the very best in English language, literature and history/geography teaching up to A-level equivalent, with the Primary department providing excellent foundations in language and literacy.

Candidates must have the skills to teach and to motivate able children in a strong academic school. The Primary programmes of study place emphasis on the teaching and learning of English language and literacy skills for bilingual children employing a creative topic-based approach. There is a strong emphasis on sharing good practice and formative assessment is a key feature in the measurement of pupil progress and development.
