Mainstream admissions

Application for entry in September 2019

The number of places available in our mainstream classes is dependent upon the number of leavers at the end of the school year. This often means that places only become available towards the end of the school year. The deadline for maternelle, primary and collège applications for families based in the local area is Thursday 24 January 2019 and entrance assessment will take place in March 2019, and May 2019 for our youngest candidates (see Test Dates below for details). The deadline for applications for Seconde is Thursday 10 January 2019 and entrance assessment will take place on 23 January 2019 (see Test Dates below for details).
Families based overseas who find out they are moving to France after our March test dates, should contact our Admissions Officer to arrange entrance assessment in early June if there are places available.
For information on the places available in our mainstream primary and secondary classes, click below on Current situation.
To proceed with an application for your child to the British Section, please submit the documents listed below (click on Documents to provide).
Once your application has been received, you will be invited to complete our online admissions form, following which we will inform you if we will be inviting your child to sit our entrance assessments. Click below for dates of entrance assessments.

Petite Section (born 2016) - this new class at the École Internationale will be made up of 10-14 externé children.

Moyenne Section (born 2015) - this class at the École Internationale will be made up of 14-15 externé children. Currently there are 13 children in Petite Section who should move up to Moyenne Section in September 2018 which means there are at least 2 externé places available.

Grande Section (born 2014) - this is a good point of entry as we expect to run three classes, two at the École Internationale and one at École Jehan Alain. There are approximately 30 places available, the majority of which will be externé places.

CP (born 2013) - there will be three classes, two at the École Internationale and one at the École Félix Éboué. There are at least 3 places available at the École Internationale and 5 full-time places available at the École Félix Éboué.

CE1 (born 2012) - the number of places available will depend upon end-of-year departures. All new pupils at the École Internationale from CE1 upwards will be externés, with the exception of those enrolled in the Français Spécial French immersion class.

CE2 (born 2011) - there may be a few places available.

CM1 (born 2010) - the number of places available will depend upon end-of-year departures.

CM2 (born 2009) - the number of places available will depend upon end-of-year departures.

Sixième (born 2008) – the number of places available will depend upon end-of-year departures. Successful candidates will be enrolled at the Collège Pierre et Marie Curie, Le Pecq or the Collège Les Hauts Grillets, Saint-Germain-en-Laye depending on their home address. Any available places at Collège International will be reserved for non-francophone students who require the Français Spécial French immersion class.

Cinquième (born 2007), Quatrième (born 2006) and Troisième (born 2005) – based on current projections there will be very few, if any, places available at these levels for the school year 2019-20. One or two places may become available as a result of departures later in the year. If you would like your child tested for the waiting list, please contact our Admissions Officer directly.

Seconde (Year 11 - born 2004) and Première (Year 12 - born 2003) – it is highly unlikely that there will be any places for these levels for the school year 2019-20. We will not know before July whether any places have become available in these two classes. Please contact our Admissions Officer directly regarding enquiries for these classes. Any applicants for Seconde will take our entance test on Wednesday 23 January 2019.

To proceed with an application for your child to the British Section, please submit the following documents:

  • a letter from the parents addressed to the Director of the British Section with:
