Our IT systems

The British Section uses different IT systems to facilitate students' learning, parent-teacher communication, and financial payments.

The British Section has been using Moodle, a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE, or Espace Numérique de Travail), for several years. It is a learning platform designed to provide teachers and students with a collaborative learning environment that empowers both teaching and learning.

Reading Cloud - Primary Library

The Reading Cloud is an advanced online reading community designed to engage students, parents, teachers and librarians in reading for pleasure. The system allows pupils, staff and parents to view our school library catalogue online and pupils are encouraged to use this to help with research, to write reviews about books they have read, and search for new books and other library resources. You can also access Reading Cloud via the app iMLS student (on Apple and Android devices).

The British Section uses SchoolPost, an Online School Communication System, which combines emailing, emergency texting, online replies and consent forms, and a personal online Mailbox.

We have an online booking system for Parent-Teacher Meetings for all primary and secondary classes. This system allows you to book an appointment with your child’s teachers and gives you the ability to check, print or email yourself with your appointment details.

Our secure online payment portal enabling parents to pay for activities and events such as school trips.

The Parent-Teacher Group has introduced Classlist as the communication tool for the British Section community.

IT system used by our French host schools in Secondary

Our French host schools use their own, separate Virtual Learning Environment. It is first a communication tool between the teachers (or the administrative staff) and the students or their families. It also serves as an information management tool which records students' attendance, grades and homework.
